Planning a wedding in Portland, Oregon while desiring the boho, desert vibe quickly became one of the biggest trends of 2019. Speaking for planners in the PNW, this opened the door to untapped creativity. So when this sweet bride described her vision, we were beyond excited to play a part in their day.
These two had the sweetest day, filled with the most thoughtful touches. From the macrame a bridesmaid made to act as the backdrop of their ceremony, to the choice of florals meant to reflect the bride's time living in Australia, to the traditional Finnish toss--where all the male guests gather and toss the bride as high as they can-- this wedding was such a fun reflection of Kaylee + Kenan! It was so obvious that this couple cares for those around them, especially apparent as you looked around the room + saw the people that traveled from all over (England, Australia, Arizona, California, etc.) to celebrate their journey as a couple.
You know, it's rare as planners that we both get to be present at a ceremony, but as soon as this one started, we couldn't help but stay a little longer. I'll never forget the image this couple's officiant painted, "I hope you look back on this day as the day you loved each other the least". Wow. This resonated with us, as this is why we are passionate about the people that gather around you to celebrate. The people that are celebrating with you are going to be the people that encourage your growth + your love to grow. We get to celebrate love more often than most, but this is what makes it so exciting for us. That this love is only going to grow, that this is only the beginning. The idea that this electric, exciting beginning is just that, the beginning.
We are in this thing with ya in the planning process, but we are also rooting for you as in your marriage-- take a peek at Kaylee + Kenan's beginning!
