jasmine + patrick | oregon forest elopement

in the spring of 2020, like it had for so many others, covid-19 had completely derailed our wedding season. we were at a loss for what to do, what to expect, and how to move forward. as the weeks went on, the global pandemic, coincided with a national confrontation of social justice issues and our hearts were heavy. we wanted to inspire some joy amidst a season of fear, confusion, and grief.

we heard countless stories of couples who had been forced to postpone or cancel their wedding days. so many couples were unsure of when things would return to ‘normal’ + described feeling like they were running out of time, money, and hope. we knew we couldn't even make a dent in the trauma going on in the world, but we wanted to make a small impact with one couple. we wanted to gift someone the chance to take a breath, and say ‘I do’ without spending anymore time or money.

dreamy oregon elopement

with this idea in mind we reached out to a dream team of wedding vendors, with similar hearts to donate their time to bless a couple impacted by covid-19-- photographer (madison olling), videographer (amanda muchmore parker), floral designer (good seed floral), venue, catering + accommodations (camp cascade), makeup artist (painterly) and signage designer (linen + poppi) made up our team of incredibly generous vendors willing to donate their talents + services to a deserving couple. the generosity and willingness to help, from this team of incredible women, made us so sure that this would be one of our favorite projects to date.

after receiving submissions from many incredibly kind and deserving couples, we unanimously felt a connection with one couple and their story in particular. Jasmine + Patrick shared their love story, one of trials + triumphs, perseverance, and choosing one another daily. and as if they didn't have our hearts already, these two went through the covid ringer with vendors who weren't flexible, they were out a significant amount of money + unsure how they would be able to celebrate their commitment.

when we spoke with them on the phone, Jasmine + Patrick expressed that they were planning on just eloping in the backyard, so they could finally just be married. it was our pleasure to offer them a slight upgrade, and let them know we wanted to gift them this special elopement package. in six short weeks we worked with J+P to make this elopement one that fit their style, complimented their original wedding plans, and represented their love story well.

the day began with all of us vendors waking up in our cabins, a total summer camp feel (thanks to the generosity of camp cascade). we set up the ceremony / dining space for J+P and few family members. Jasmine had described a neutral, monochromatic feel to compliment the woodsy environment. good seed floral exceeded all of our dreams with the stunning ceremony install, gorgeous bouquet, and minimal table elements.

Jasmine + Patrick arrived to the camp and got ready separately, writing letters to one another that they will share on the day of their big wedding celebration in 2021. Jasmine looked stunning in a sleek white gown, and Patrick impressed with a modern monochromatic groom look. The two shared emotional handwritten vows, with a handful of close family members, during a dreamy forest ceremony.

after the ceremony, the attendees were treated to a dinner prepared by Camp Cascade, and their incredibly gracious staff. sweet well wishes to the bride + groom were shared over dinner and drinks. as we, the vendor team, felt complete joy to witness such a love-filled, special day. as their guests trickled out, Jasmine + Patrick concluded the night with a bonfire + time together to simply hang out, and be married.

this day, is one we will never stop dreaming of. the love between these two, the incredibly talented + kind vendor team, and the pure joy experienced amidst such a heavy season-- we are so, so grateful for it.
